What is a motorcycle sprocket?

The motorcycle sprocket is a core component of the transmission system, divided into a drive sprocket (front sprocket) and a driven sprocket (rear sprocket):

Drive sprocket: Installed on the engine output shaft, it transmits power to the rear wheel via the chain.
Driven sprocket: Fixed to the rear wheel hub, it converts the chain's power into wheel rotation.
Structural features:

Material: High-strength metal (such as aluminum alloy or steel), ensuring durability.
Tooth design: Meshes with the chain; the drive sprocket usually has fewer teeth than the driven sprocket, achieving speed reduction and torque increase.
Buffer device: The driven sprocket is connected to the rear wheel via rubber buffer blocks to reduce transmission impact.
